SALA/National Science Week exhibition

SALA and National Science Week – what a combination!

Have you planned your SALA viewings yet? So much to choose from and only a month to see the fabulous selection on offer.

Mrs Harris has always loved SALA and has been involved in National Science Week for several years. On opening Mrs Harris’ Shop earlier this year,  one of the first things she decided to do, was to hold a combined SALA/National Science Week exhibition.

Energy Evolution is a  special celebration of SA’s Living Artists and National Science Week (11- 19 August) and features four Adelaide artists.  Each has given his or her own perspective to this broad, topical theme.

Painter, Rob Weaver (back at Mrs Harris’ Shop following a very successful Fringe exhibition) looks at global warming in his imposing triptych Earth Change.

Aussie Kanck explores a number of energy related developments via the camera lens, including infra-red photography.

Richard Musgrove takes an abstract look via wood, limestone and marble in his sensuous sculptures.

And Deborah Baldassi, known for her special brand of irreverence, makes us laugh and think with her delightful water colours.

Each artist will be present in the gallery on at least two occasions during SALA and they look forward to chatting with you about their works.

Exhibition is open Saturdays and Sundays 11:00am – 3:00pm from 4 until 26 August.
