Exhibitions here at Mrs Harris’ Shop keep getting better and better. Just when you think it’s the best yet, another one comes along that gets the excitement happening all over again!
Matrix, from Union Street Printmakers is open for business throughout October.
Damian Wood Stani Ovtcharova Sarah Marshall
Curator Simone Tippett has created a fabulous story in Matrix. Instead of, as you would expect, a collection of superb prints on the wall, Simone has taken the opportunity to reveal a piece of the printmaking process.
Vicki Reynolds Joshua Willam Searson Petra Nisi
Intricate plates adorn the walls, so there’s a wonderful opportunity to puzzle over just what the final print will look like.
Then, you can take a look at the finished product by leafing through the prints, which are sitting on a table (complete with some white gloves).
Michael James Rowland Nick Falkner Simone Tippett and Nina Frigaul
The prints are, as expected, just wonderful. But the extra dimension in this exhibition comes in the form of the plates – works of art in their own right.
So take advantage of the beautiful ‘getting out and about’ weather and call in to Mrs Harris’ Shop this weekend, between 11am and 3pm, Saturdays and Sundays. Of course, there’s the opportunity to meet some of the artists as well.

Matrix is on show until Sunday 2 November, with the opportunity for special viewings through the week, by calling Jo at Mrs Harris’ Shop, on 0452 614 613.

Just a little note . . . Because the plates are on the wall and not the works themselves, you will have to wait just a little longer to collect any purchases. The artists will do their best to have them available a week after the exhibition closes (rather than our usual ‘collect on the last day’).
